How To Make the Twisted Tulip Cup Cozy

Today is quite the hat trick or trifecta or triple the goodness. It’s Mardi Gras, the first day of March, and pattern release day! And what better way to celebrate the month of March than with my Twisted Tulip Cup Cozy!

I got the idea to make these when I was noodling around with stitches and making other cup cozies. I’ve been wanting to make something fun and easy with the tulip stitch which is a round of V stitches followed by a round of popcorn stitches. Seriously, so much fun to make!

If you’d like to skip the ad nonsense, you can grab the ad free pattern here, on Ravelry, or on Etsy.

This Handmade Cup Cozy Fits the Following:

  • Fits large coffee cup for hot coffee / tea or iced coffee / tea
  • Also fits ice cream pint containers!

Ready? Please Note…

Please Note: You are welcome to make as many of these as you’d like and sell your finished cozies. If you have a handmade business, I’m wishing you the best success. Handmade is in high demand! These Tulip Cup Cozies are perfect for spring craft fairs, Easter gifts, Mother’s Day Gifts, and anytime gifts!

If you choose to share or sell them, please credit the design to me when sharing/selling online. Do not publish or sell this pattern, in part or in full and do not make any video tutorials of this pattern without my permission. If you have any questions, you can reach out to me at peggy@admin

This is an advanced beginner pattern. Although…I believe that if you’re fearless and up for an adventure, let’s make this!

What You Need

  • Approximately 50 yards of worsted 4 yarn. You will need at least 3 colors: Main color, some shade of green for the stems, and whatever color you chose for your tulips.
  • I used yarn from my scrap stash – mostly Impeccable by Loops and Threads and Pound of Love by Lion Brand
  • 5.0 mm / H size hook
  • Scissors
  • Tape Measure
  • Tapestry needle to weave in ends
